The OPTICAM 34 is an hydraulic driven machine for cutting-ring assembly with SPC control for
final pre-assembly and (optional) for pre-assembly of cutting rings, i.e. all customary kinds of assembly
used throughout the market can be carried out.
Equipment and techniques:
* Fully automatic adjustment of programmes, i.e. when counter plate (supporting plate) is inserted,
the programme is adjusted by a 5-hole code. The check is carried out by sensors.
* An alphanumeric display shows all data necessary for the assembly.
* SPC (storage-programmable control) for total supervision and control of the chosen kind of
assembly. Process controi and documentation are possible.
* 100 % assembly security by process control, i.o. the programme is chosen via PC by EMB (may
also be done by user); thereby, the control is capable of carrying out assemblies by absolute
control. Faults such as cutting ring upside-down, deviation of dimensions within the different parts,
worn-out tools and faulty preparation of the tube are identified and shown via display and indicated
by red signal (lamp). Correct assembly is indicated by green signal (lamp).
* The great advantage of this machine is the controlled final assembly of cutting rings. All you
need is cutting rings ready for final assembly, such as the EMB DS ring. Final assembly means
that the cutting ring cuts into the tube by 100 % while being controlled (control of pressure and
distance). The final turning in the stud is only 30° (starting from pressure point).
* Controlled pre assembly of cutting rings is possible (= 50% of the cutting-in process) for all
standard kinds of cutting rings used throughout the market.
* You have the option of choosing up to 9 different programmes for cutting rings (1 -9) via the
keyboard. This means there is an enormous range of different kinds of assembly, materials,
brands, etc., that may be chosen.
A company of the group
- The process of assembly is set in motion by pressing on the lid. A foot-switch or contact tool
switch is available at extra charge.
- For security reasons the assembling room is monitored by photo-electric light beams.
- The machine meets the requirements of accident prevention.
- Connection bushing for combining with a PC. The PC is used to programme the machine. to
record the assembly operations and to use the SPC-programme. Software for recording and
SPC are available at extra cost.

Possible accessories of special models
* Eccentric fittings for assembling studs for treatment of narrow bows of up to 180°. Thereby, it
is possible to make a final assembly of cutting rings up to Ø 18 mm.
If you use eccentric assembling studs you have to employ counter plates type OPT-EX/F/S... and
assembling OPTI-EX/F/S... (for final assembling) er OPTI-EX/...
(for pre-assembling).
